Laser Hair Removal - Bakersfield California
Your solution for unwanted body hair
Our bodies are covered with hair. Most of this hair is very fine and pale, making it virtually invisible to the naked eye. When darker, courser hair appears in places one may not desire or expect, such as on the neck, face, back, or abdomen, painless and effective hair removal is the treatment of choice.
History of hair removal
In the past, unwanted hair was removed by plucking, shaving, waxing, or chemical depilatories. Often these treatments were painful, messy, and most frustratingly temporary. Long term hair removal methods included electrolysis, but were too uncomfortable, slow, and included many months of regular visits to complete the job.
Now there's a more effective solution for hair removal. The new, state of the art, LightSheer Diode Laser provides effective removal of unwanted hair faster, more reliably, and with less discomfort than traditional methods.
How does it work?
The LightSheer Diode Laser produces a highly concentrated beam of light most effective treating unwanted hair growth. This light is absorbed by the pigment within the hair follicles. The light pulses for a fraction of a second, just long enough to vaporize the pigment. This disables numerous follicles at a time, thus eliminating or significantly impeding hair regrowth.
The laser is outfitted with a special cooling mechanism for sensitive skin. It provides protection and cooling for the upper layer of the skin before, during, and after each pulse.

How long does it last?
Laser hair removal session times vary greatly depending on the treatment area. Some areas require only a few minutes, while others can last an hour or more. Because some hair may be in active growth states, more than one treatment may be required to completely disable some hair follicles.
What does it feel like?
Most patients report a slight tingling sensation and tolerate the procedure quite well. Given that pain tolerances vary greatly and some treatment areas are more sensitive than others, topical anesthesia is provided in rare instances.
What can I expect after treatment?
The appearance of the treatment areas immediately following treatment will vary from patient to patient. Depending on the extent of the treatment and skin type, redness and/or minor swelling may occur, but will disappear in a short time. Most patients return to normal activities immediately following treatment.
